A bit about cody

It all started when…

Cody’s interest in makeup grew from a young age, after growing up having makeup on for dancing competitions. After years of playing around with makeup on herself and friends in 2013 she enrolled in her first of three makeup courses at Media Makeup Academy. At the end of her first course she was awarded “Most Outstanding Student”. This is when Cody Makeup was born and she began freelancing for weddings, formals and other special events.

Still eager to continue to learn Cody worked hard in both her full Cert II in Retail, Makeup & Skin care and then in her Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services. Completing over 80 hours of work experience which included; fashion photoshoots, AFF fashion shows, face painting on children, Credit Union Christmas pageant, wrestling shows and SFX short films.

Whilst still studying her diploma and working as a freelance makeup artist Cody was offered a job at Inglot Cosmetics. This was an exciting opportunity to work alongside many talented and creative makeup artists. Week after week Cody was pushed to complete many different styles of makeup from very natural to full glam to creative looks on every different age, race and skin type. In 2016 the title “Miss Creative” was awarded to Cody out of all of South Australia.

In 2017 Cody was one of eight employees offered to be part of the Inglot Australia “Pro Team”. Whilst on the Pro Team she represented Inglot Cosmetics at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sydney working with designer Mariam Seddiq, completed a makeup demo at IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) Sydney, filmed multiple makeup tutorials for the Inglot Australia YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.

In late 2018 Cody decided to become a full time freelance makeup artist. Having years of industry experience in all different makeup fields you can be confident that for any event, occasion, show, film or photography session Cody will be able to give you a professional makeup look to suit your brief.
